The Innocent Beginning |
“We gotta help mama, Shoichi.” This sentence jump started Shoichi’s fate. It wasn't easy growing up with African American descent during a time of terror and desperation. The Hirose family couldn't afford to move far away since everything they owned was swallowed by the earthquake. Lacking a father, the two brothers Shoichi and Ryuji watched their mother work to the bone. It wasn't until the end of their highschool year did they do something. They knew about the drugs getting passed around in the ruined ghettos like their home. So the brothers and their desperate friends joined the slinging. Their mother wasn't happy for obvious reasons, but she didn't refuse the money. The desperation, and fatigue already implanted deep within her bones. The brothers gang managed to maintain a low-key operation at the beginning. The people of the ghettos knew the brothers since birth, and having them run the territory was much better than having foreign hands run it. Ryuji recruited people in desperate situations and gave them the chance to make money. Although the gang wasn't large their loyalty held them together. “There is something you have to understand, Shoichi.”] His older brother by two years said, a comforting hand on his shoulder. “Loyalty cannot be bought. Loyalty is the most beautiful thing in this world. It is human nature to trust and cooperate and seeing another human being trust you entirely and completely.” He paused letting his words hang in the air, the silence seeming to stretch to eternity. “It is the best feeling in the world. Never betray that.” In Shoichi’s mind Ryuji was too good for this ghetto neighborhood. Too good for this world even. He put the burdens of others on his shoulders and carried them to a better living. He was the glue holding everyone together. Still, bullets don't judge a person's character before they claim their life. Ryuji died and Shoichi inherited the gang at age twenty-two. “Please, please, please don't go back out. Just stop it.” His mother begged him on her knees. “You know I can't. I got everyone depending on me. I...I can't just betray their trust.” Shoichi knew that then slinging is what supported most of their families. He knew Ryuji wouldn't want him to stop, no, he had to live up to everyone's expectations. Things just continued going downhill from there. Ryuji was killed by a rival gang mad about them encroaching on their territory. Now they were adamant about dismantling this pseudo-gang. Members trying to sling for their family were killed. Shoichi could remember their gazes full of blame and accusation. Now the gang was split between backpedaling and stopping or continuing and fighting. Shoichi was obsessed with preserving the gangs, the legacy that Ryuji left behind. He wanted to protect it and give the people a new figure to trust and lead them to prosperity. He decided to engage with the small rival gang and in doing so betrayed all those expectations. Blood coated Shoichi’s handcuffed hands. It was a mix between his, his subordinates, and foes. It was a bloodbath, one that Shoichi had led them into and now he was suffering the price. “Tell me, where are the others and the stash!” The cop's baton lashed out and Shoichi folded. This was the last thing Shoichi could do; keep his mouth shut. The batons fell on his body and slurs erupted from the cops mouth. Disappointment, anger, and desperation conflicted within the young man and before he knew it the guards were impaled on long red spikes. Thus, Shoichi became a Deadman at age twenty-eight. Prison Sentence: Mass Murder (67 People, all the deaths from both gangs pinned on him), Drug Dealing (An Actual crime he did), Aggravated Assault, Destruction Of Property, Smuggling. |
Spring Trap
Spring trap takes the form of a dark red caltrops. The caltrops is four-sided looking with exceptionally sharp tips. These caltrops can be thrown at his enemies or placed on the ground as a trap. Shoichi has a mental connection to this caltrops able to accurately tell where each one is. Once activated the sides extend and pierce their targets with their needle thin spikes.
One potent weakness of this branch of sin is the lack of actual piercing ability it possess. The blood cost for Spring Trap is minimal making it very efficient. It can pierce through the human body with ease, but has trouble piercing other material such as trees, rocks, and even certain armor. Do beware, for when strategic placement and amassed production this Branch Of Sin is a troublesome foe to combat against.
